Prof. Schuetze gave the keynote address today at the 20 year anniversary of the Institute for Computational Linguistics at the University of Zurich. The subject of his talk was the interdisciplinarity of the field: which disciplines have provided important foundations for computational linguistics in its first decades and what will their role be in the future?
