Inhalte:
Zu Beginn der Vorlesung werden die notwendigen morphologischen Grundbegriffe im Überblick vermittelt, mit Focus auf den Wechselwirkungen von Morphologie und Syntax. Morphologische Prozesse bei der Flexion und Wortbildungsverfahren und ihre Modellierung mittels computerlinguistischer Formalismen (z.B. Finite-State-, Two-Level-Morphology, DATR) bilden den Schwerpunkt und stellen den Bezug zur Praxis sicher. In der Lexikographie steht die Frage im Zentrum, wie morphologische, syntaktische und semantische Eigenschaften von Wörtern in einem elektronischen Lexikon repräsentiert werden können, mittels endlicher Automaten.
Lernziele:
Neben den notwendigen Grundbegriffen wird die Fähigkeit vermittelt, mit formalen Beschreibungsmodellen umzugehen.
Übung:
In der Übung wird das in der Vorlesung erworbene Wissen praktisch angewendet. Dabei werden Probleme der morphologischen Beschreibung und Modellierung mittels der in der Vorlesung vorgestellten Beschreibungsmodelle anhand kleiner Beispiele durchgeführt. Für die Morphologie sind das Analysen von Wortformen und Paradigmen, sowie ihre Beschreibung und Implementierung mit geeigneten Formalismen.
